We use a Himalayan salt blend in all of our bath salts; they’re a higher quality of salt and they contain 84 different minerals. Those minerals help your skin to repair and revive quicker. This is important all year round, but particularly in the winter when your skin is in need of revival.
Some people prefer to have bubbles in their bath, but for us, it’s not one or the other. Both offer a very different type of bath and sometimes, adding salts into a bubble bath is just what’s needed. Soaking in salt water helps to soothe and repair damaged skin. Even if your skin looks fine on the surface, it promotes cell renewal, too.
Geranium & Grapefruit
Both geranium and grapefruit help revive the skin, which is what makes this such a good pairing. They both have slightly different core properties but paired, they give a really well-rounded glow.
The geranium essential oils offer a layer of protection against bacteria. If you have to face high levels of pollution on your commute, these salts are for you. By stopping the bacteria from entering your pores, it also deters breakouts.
Whilst the geranium protects, the grapefruit evens your skin tone to give you a nice glow. That glow is hard to come by in the winter. That’s why, as well as the grapefruit, we’ve added an extra bit of olive, jojoba and evening primrose as the base oils. These oils will nourish and moisturise the skin on a deeper level.
Vitamin E Oil
If you haven’t guessed by now, the geranium and grapefruit bath salt mixture is all about protection. Whether you’re on the tube, in the city or even in the car, your skin faces so many different free radicals every day.
We’ve added Vitamin E oil into the mix, too. This oil shields against the environment and combats the damaging effects of free radicals.
One of our favourite things about bathing with the geranium and grapefruit bath salts is the chamomile flowers. Each bottle comes with a scattering of flowers that delicately float in the bath.
Unsurprisingly, chamomile flowers are great at fighting environmental skin damage. Aside from that, though, you can pop the heads of the flowers and enjoy the delicious smelling aroma and oils that come from each one.
We don’t know about you, but that’s our idea of heaven.
